Der CR-80EH von Nofan ist der aktuell kleinste Passivkühler für die aktuellen Intel i3 Prozessoren. Er kann für CPUs bis zu 80 Watt TDP verwendet werden. Optisch überzeugt er mit seinem auffälligem Hochglanzfinish der speziell entwickelten "Icepipes". Der Kühlkörper besteht aus überwiegend kreisförmig angeordneten Heatpipes, die kaum Staub ansammeln und somit eine konstante Kühlleistung ermöglichen.

Verifizierter Kauf
Das Teil ist sehr groß und massiv. Hat aber ohne Probleme in den BitFenix Shinobi Core Midi gepasst. Ich war erst skeptisch, ob die Kühlung ohne Lüfter funktioniert. Der Kühler hält eine 45W AMD A8 CPU bei 43-44 Grad Celsius. Der Rechner wird nur für Office eingesetzt. Es wäre aber noch etws Luft nach oben für anspruchsvollere Anwendungen ohne dass es zu heiss wird. Ob es für CPUs mit mehr TDP reicht, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Another processor to consider was the i5 3350P with the same thermal rating as the 1230V2, but wanted the hyperthreading functionality as well.

I'm running a 3,3 Ghz Intel Xeon E3-1230V2, (TDP 69W) with hyperthreading enabled and turbo boost disabled (as Intel says it would make the CPU run over its TDP rating) with the Nofan CR80-EH heatsink and MSI Z77A-GD65 motherboard. Temperature in Prime95 CPU stress test does not exceed 88 C and stays mostly at 75-85 C. Idle temperatures are 35-39 and normal use from 45 (light desktop use) to 70 (gaming). Ambient temperature is 19C.Very happy with the Nofan CR80.
